Where nature stirs your soul!

Hwange National Park

Explore Daka

Sitting atop the gently rolling foothills of the far northwest region of Hwange National Park, lies a privately owned camp that could easily be considered one of the most secluded in the entire area. It's a rare find for adventurers seeking an immersive and intimate experience in the heart of Southern Africa. Surrounded by untouched wilderness, Daka Plains Camp offers guests the chance to participate in guided walks and game drives through some of the most untamed and diverse terrain in the region.

Unforgettable safaris, everlasting memories

live the journey

From its prime location bordering Botswana, the camp offers breathtaking views that extend all the way to the Makgadikgadi salt pans, providing a glimpse into the captivating Kalahari ecosystem. A unique feature of this area are the springs and seeps that provide water for wildlife throughout the dry season.

The camp is a collaboration between co-owners Mike Thorne and renowned safari guide Ian Batchelor, who have teamed up to create an exhilarating and ever-evolving experience for guests. Together, they manage the day-to-day operations of Daka Plains Camp and its unique private concession.  The end goal being the creation of ‘the go to’ camp experience in Hwange.
